The ALLIANCE FRANÇAISE OF VICTORIA is happy to make this event free and open to all in order to support the ongoing fundraising efforts for Notre-Dame Cathedral. This special event is a fundraiser for Notre-Dame de Paris which burned on April 15, 2019 and was reopened on December 8, 2024.
The evening opens with three pieces for Notre-Dame performed by Réjean BUSSIÈRES (guitar, voice) at 5:45 pm.
Victoria and its community have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet the Lead Chief Architect who oversaw the restoration of Notre-Dame de Paris. Philippe VILLENEUVE will be in Victoria for that day to present to the public an insider’s view of the disaster that struck the almost 900-years old monument and its reconstruction. Stunning visuals will be presented. André FINOT, Head of Communications, Friends of Notre-Dame De Paris, will accompany M. Villeneuve for this event.
